With the release of their Greatest Hits album, “Believers Never Die”, this week, the band, Fall Out Boy, they are going on an indefinite hiatus. This doesn’t seem to surprise many of their fans. The band’s decision to go on a temporary break has been hinted for months. Their spokesperson has this statement to say: “It’s a break with an indefinite date when they’re coming back.”

Sounds like the question of when they will be back or if they will be back together is really hanging out there.

It’s been said that the band members would like to pursue personal endeavors, after eight years of hardwork, rising to the top as the Kings of Emo.

Emerging from Chicago’s underground scene, the Fall Out Boy quickly became a pop favorite with the success of their debut album, ‘From Under The Cork Tree’, which had become a worldwide hit. After this album’s release, the band went on to make two more albums and have raked in more awards than they could imagine.

But with the arrest of its lead singer Pat Stump early this year, rumors of the band breaking up have surfaced. The rumor has been pacified when the band announced the release of their Greatest Hits.

Though, now it’s confirmed. The winds have changed.

Pete Wentz is going to be busy with his Clandestine Industries, a fashion brand and is probably moving to New York to support his wife, Ashley Simpson, who will be headlining in Broadway. Joe Trohman is working on a side project and will be doing a lot of metal music. Andy Hurley also has his own fashion line, F*CKCITY, to focus on and may be starting his own music label.

Joey McIntyre Releases Solo EP

Screen shot 2009-11-19 at 8.54.51 AMAs most people know, the New Kids On The Block has been reunited and is making music once again, since last year. One of its members, Joey McIntyre, however is taking a break from this and intends to go solo for the release of his anticipated EP, “Here We Go Again” which is now out. Gabe Lopez, Drew Ryan Scott and Brent Pashke.

Joey McIntyre had been working on this for quite awhile, saying this to Billboard: “Every two or three years I just get itchy and I want to make a new record, and being out on the road and performing so much only encouraged me more. It was quite an experience the last couple years with the New Kids; it definitely inspired me to write some stuff. And I think that after being part of a group, you kind of want to do your own thing again.”

This solo album was hatched even before the band regrouped last year.

Joey McIntyre’s album will be released in digital version and will also come with a limited copy which will include liner notes, a lyric booklet and photos.

The singer is set to tour this year to promote this album and will afterwards reunite with his band when they set for another round of tours and performances in May 2010.

The rest of the New Kids are also doing their own projects while the next band tour is yet in the works.

Miranda’s Revolution

Miranda Lambert has been busy these days after her release of her third album, “Revolution”, and yet she still have time for an interview. The 25-year old singer wants to stay busy all the time, since her 2005 debut album “Kerosene”, that made a name for herself as one of the brightest young talents in Nashville, and the 2007 follow up “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” which one herself an Academy of Country Music award for Album of the Year.

With her new album Revolution, the young singer has achieved more than enough recognition by many of the folks who listens to his music. The most interesting of her songs are ballads like “The House That Built Me” and “Love Song” is composed with a ho-hum that fits like a little drag, two thirds of the way.

Revolution seems to require more filler in some ways like the song “Maintain the Pain”, which would be put on a smaller album. Lambert is an excellent country singer, but most of her best songs may sometime lack the “in factor”. A very good example would be “Maintain the Pain” in which she uses traditional instrumentation which may sound unusual to many of her followers. The song manages to sound like an electronic violin combined together.

They may not be that half bad, although of her best songs have the corniest sense of humor found in the lyrics. Song like “Only Prettier”, “Heart Like Mine”, and closing it in with a killer ballad “Virginia Bluebell”. But the most notable of which was “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” in which she incorporates a few fine tunes in a mix.

Fans of Miranda Lambert may be little bit disappointed with her new album Revolution. The only real flaws it has is that it’s a little longer and may be boring after a while.
