Truly, Christmas season is the most exciting and eventful part of the year. It is the great equalizer. Rich or poor, healthy or not, good or bad, everyone is happy and joyous. Christmas parties here and there; exchanging gifts everywhere; and of course, Christmas carols being sang and played almost in every corner and every household. hmmm..the Christmas spirit is very much alive and it is like a plague attacking everyone. It is that time of the year where people feel like children at heart and kids are at their happiest! One of the most common Christmas carol being played is the song entitled “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. It talks of the beauty and festive mood of the Christmas season. It speaks of the different things that people do and experience during Christmas day. The song also has the joyous and festive tone making one feel the Christmas energy better and feel the grasp of the happiness it brings. I’ve just been wondering about the lack of newly released Christmas songs the other day and here comes this whimsical music treat from songwriter Larry Whitler who is releasing the song, “Christmas Recipe”. You can listen to this song or access the free download link from his website.

The song speaks of a grandmother who has her recipe tucked away in the pages of the Bible, which was not to be found until much, much later. The song is a great reminder of what important things we have to uphold this holiday season.

The music will also be released in Larry Whitler’s CD, The Greater Good.

Columbia Records announces the release of A Cherry Cherry Christmas, the new Neil Diamond holiday collection, available in stores and online Tuesday, October 13.

The title song, “Cherry Cherry Christmas,” is filled with references to many of Diamond’s greatest hits. Newly written and recorded by Neil Diamond for Christmas 2009, it is destined to become a new Christmas standard.
