LONDON (Reuters) – ”I Feel Love”, the 1977 hit by disco queen Donna Summer, shot back into the British charts days after the singer’s death, the Official Charts Company said on Sunday.

The track came it at number 45, while four other songs by Summer also returned to the top 200, it added.

Summer, whose sultry voice and pulsing rhythms on hits like ”Last Dance” and ”Love to Love You Baby” defined the disco era, died from cancer on Thursday aged 63.

First she enlisted master song writer and professional singer Jack Gafford. Jack has several albums; his most recent album is titled “No Vacancy.”

Then Phoreground Entertainment was chosen as the studio to record her first single, “Buy Me That” which included Jakk Frost as a featured artist on this song. The presence of Phoreground’s producer/engineer, L.A. Dubb insured Karina was in good hands. L.A. Dubb has worked with Snoop Dog, Michael Jackson, Usher, Madonna, Dr. Dre and Chelsea Lynn.

Karina’s just completed single will be released in three versions; the pop solo version, a hip-hop remix version by Jakk Frost, who along with Philadelphia Freeway recently worked with Wyclef Jean on one of their songs, and an underground version by DJ Steven Zor.

With the release of their Greatest Hits album, “Believers Never Die”, this week, the band, Fall Out Boy, they are going on an indefinite hiatus. This doesn’t seem to surprise many of their fans. The band’s decision to go on a temporary break has been hinted for months. Their spokesperson has this statement to say: “It’s a break with an indefinite date when they’re coming back.”

Sounds like the question of when they will be back or if they will be back together is really hanging out there.

It’s been said that the band members would like to pursue personal endeavors, after eight years of hardwork, rising to the top as the Kings of Emo.

Emerging from Chicago’s underground scene, the Fall Out Boy quickly became a pop favorite with the success of their debut album, ‘From Under The Cork Tree’, which had become a worldwide hit. After this album’s release, the band went on to make two more albums and have raked in more awards than they could imagine.

But with the arrest of its lead singer Pat Stump early this year, rumors of the band breaking up have surfaced. The rumor has been pacified when the band announced the release of their Greatest Hits.

Though, now it’s confirmed. The winds have changed.

Pete Wentz is going to be busy with his Clandestine Industries, a fashion brand and is probably moving to New York to support his wife, Ashley Simpson, who will be headlining in Broadway. Joe Trohman is working on a side project and will be doing a lot of metal music. Andy Hurley also has his own fashion line, F*CKCITY, to focus on and may be starting his own music label.

Carrie Underwood is riding on an all time high. The famous country singer is perhaps the most successful graduate of the American Idol Franchise. After successfully hosting the CMA Awards this year, a Best Selling Artist for 2009 recognition, Carrie adds another feather in her cap with her chart-topping album, “Play On”.

This is the second album of Carrie’s that has gone to number one in the Billboard charts in the last two years. In 2005, Carnival Ride, her debut album, soared to the charts establishing her as a singer to watch for.

Following Play On is the soundtrack from the greatest of legends’ last performance, Michael Jackson. This Is It stayed on number one for one week only to be out-seated by Carrie Underwood.

The New Regime is actually a solo debut album. If you are not yet familiar with this, The New Regime is actually Nine Inch Nails drummer, Ilan Rubin. This solo album is his masterpiece as he is responsible for almost every thing here, including the singing.

With a voice so soothing, the vocals are so dynamic. The song’s aren’t also bad and reflects competent style. Ilan’s strength as a true music artist shines through this album (which is actually entitled Coup).

WIth ten tracks, Coup features a really dark mood although the choices of songs are quite ecclectic.
